Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering
What is the role of the ‘Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering’ laboratory?
This is where the laboratory experiments accompanying the lectures on ‘Direct Current Networks / Electric and Magnetic Fields’ and ‘Alternating Current Networks’ are carried out.
In this laboratory, you can learn how to use the most important measuring instruments and see for yourself that the theory covered in the lecture ties in with practical work in the lab.
Laboratory facilities:
There are ten measurement stations, each equipped with a power supply unit, two multimeters, a function generator and an oscilloscope. This is sufficient to get started in measurement technology. Simulation is just as important as measurement itself. That is why each measurement station also includes a PC for circuit simulation.
Laboratory projects:
The focus is clearly on the internships accompanying the lectures. On an occasional basis, internal Bachelor’s theses are carried out using the available equipment.
Where is the laboratory located?
R1.048: The wooden staircase in the foyer of the R Building leads you straight to the laboratory.
