Visual Paradigm Academic Partner Programme
Visual Paradigm’s development tools enable the graphical modelling of systems, databases and software.
The software packages support the development process from the planning phase right through to the deployment phase.
In the context of university studies, for example, the VP for UML product is used in the modules of the Technical Informatics specialisation within the bachelor's degree programme in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.
Visual Paradigm for UML
This software package supports the software development process using the Unified Modelling Language (UML).
In particular, it is used for software design and the documentation of the development process for object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Java, C++).
The VP for UML development tool enables the graphical representation of software design using various diagram types (e.g. class diagrams, sequence diagrams, use case diagrams, etc.)
. The software package can already be downloaded and used in the Community Edition, which offers a reduced feature set, for non-commercial use.
However, for use in teaching modules, functions are required that are only available in the Standard Edition.
Thanks to the Bronze Partnership, it is now possible for all faculty members to obtain a time-limited licence for the VP for UML Standard Edition product.
The licence is valid for one year and can be renewed for a further year (provided the Bronze Partnership remains in place).
The licence may only be used for non-commercial teaching purposes.
