Alumni celebration at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology on 13 October 2017
On 13 October 2017, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology honoured last year’s top graduates at the alumni celebration.
From 5.00 pm, the departmental student representation, represented by Mr Mathias Geike, welcomed the award winners, their families, Professors, and the department’s sponsors and supporters.
This was followed by a welcome address by the Dean, Prof. Dr Rainer Seck, and a welcome message from the President, Prof. Dr Martin Leitner.
This year’s keynote lecture was delivered by our former professor, Prof. Dr. Werner Mayer. In his talk, entitled ‘Changes in Teaching and Research: A Professor’s Long-Term Perspective’, Prof. Mayer gave the graduates and guests an insight into the changes he has witnessed over the years at Hochschule München. With great wit and charm, he highlighted the enormous technological changes, particularly in lectures and internships.
