Corporate Speed Dating 2019
On 10 April 2019, the departmental student representation 04’s successful ‘Company Speed Dating’ event took place for the third time in the foyer of Hochschule München. Throughout the day, students and company representatives were able to network in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.
As our event has received very positive feedback in recent years, the departmental student representation has once again based this year’s event on the successful format of previous years. Interested students from every department looking for an internship, a part-time job whilst studying, or a topic for a bachelor's degree or Master’s thesis were able to register individually or in groups via the departmental student representation’s portal. In the familiar ‘speed-dating’ style, the students rotated in cycles between the stands set up by the participating companies. This year, each ‘date’ lasted 6 minutes and was signalled to end by a clearly audible gong. A presenter from departmental student representation 04 guided the proceedings and ensured that the time limits were adhered to.
After each meeting, interested students could pop their business card into the contact box, thereby giving the company a way to get in touch with them.
As was the case last year, company representatives were given short breaks between rounds. During this time, they could catch their breath or top up their coffee. During the two longer breaks at the end of each round, the students were then able to continue and build on conversations they had already started with company representatives.
Participating companies:
- SILVER ATENA
- Infineon Technologies AG
- Allgeier Engineering
- Lacon Electronic GmbH
- P+Z Engineering GmbH
- Softing
- ME Mayerhofer Elektronik GmbH
- Academic Work GmbH
- Jungheinrich
- MicroNova Software and Systems
- EDAG Engineering
- ESG Electronics Systems and Logistics GmbH
- ARRI
- Bertrandt Ingenieurbüro GmbH
Judging by the feedback and the general atmosphere, the event was once again a resounding success for both sides – students and companies alike.
Special thanks, of course, go to the company representatives who took part, but also, naturally, to the hard-working student representatives from Department 04, without whose weeks of dedication this event would not have been possible.
