Dean Prof. Dr Rehm, Alumni Officer Prof. Dr Mühlbauer and the departmental student representation, Mr Langlechner, began by addressing the participants with a welcome message: “Make the most of this opportunity to forge valuable contacts and gain first-hand information. It can only be worthwhile.”

Working in small groups, the students and company representatives were finally able to gain fascinating insights into the various career opportunities and projects within the industry through focused discussions.

Nine companies and around 80 students took part in the discussion

Two representatives from each of the participating companies took the opportunity to present themselves as attractive employers. The companies ranged from innovative medium-sized firms, which inspired with their fresh ideas, to large, established corporations, which impressed with their many years of experience.

Overall, the corporate speed-dating event was a success and highlighted the importance of direct dialogue between students and industry.
