Compulsory elective modules in the EI master's degree programme
Modules in this module group are designed to enable students to deepen and broaden their knowledge, abilities, skills and competences in selected specialist areas of electrical engineering and information technology, or to acquire non-technical competences.
Depending on their specific choice of compulsory elective modules, students are assigned to one of the following specialisations:
- General Electrical Engineering (AE)
- Autonomous systems (AS)
- Automation Technology (AT)
- Electric mobility (EM)
- Communications Technology (KT)
- Renewable Energy / Energy Technology (RE)
Whether, and if so when – i.e. in which semester – any of the compulsory elective modules will actually be offered is decided by those responsible for the timetable, depending on demand and in consultation with the relevant lecturers. There is no guarantee that any of the modules will be offered in a particular semester. Nevertheless, the table indicates whether the relevant compulsory elective module is primarily offered in the winter semester (WiSe) or primarily in the summer semester (SoSe).
The compulsory elective modules can be found in the course timetable under Appendix A. Course selection takes place online
at the start of the semester. This information, as well as further details about the subjects, can be found in the online registration system
